How would I measure the power factor using an oscope in the circuit below. I need to know where to hook it up, and how to show whether it is lagging or leading. Thank You

Ans) Connect Voltage and current signals to the oscilloscope ,put both the signals on the screen

Find the time between peaks(or zeros) of two signals,if voltage signal peak comes first then powerfactor is lagging because current peak comes next to voltage peaks

In other case when current peak comes first then powerfactor is leading

convert the time between peaks or zeros to phase angle using frequency then find the powerfactor using cosine of that angle cos(phi)
