D/d = 44/40 = 1.1

r/d = 3/40 = 0.075

For above values

Kt = 1.7      ( from graph)

Fatigue stress = Kt * calculated stress

Fatigue stress = 1.7 * 341

Fatigue stress = 579.7 MPa      Answer
