Why do bacterial antibiotics have a greater effect on diminishing the effects of nematode infection caused by Brugia malayi (the etiologic agent of filariasis) than current antinematode agents?

Brugia malayi is a nematode and causative agent of lymphatic filariasis. The bacteria named Wolbhacia plays a important role in the life cycle of Brugia malayi. It is endosymbiont with nematode Brugia malayi. So, they depend on each other for survival. Tratment of Wolbhacia with antibiotics is a possible target for antifilarial activities than the antinematode agents. Because most of the antinematode agents were unafective in tissue dwelling filarial parasites.These antibiotics deplete the bacteria wolbhacia that will sterilize the female filarial nematode, and block the development, proliferation of bacterial nematode in the host.
