For the given polynomial function A the degree of the polyno

For the given polynomial function (A) the degree of the polynomial, all x-intercepts, and the y-intercept. f(x) = 5x + 5 The degree of the polynomial is Type all x-intercepts below.

Solution

We have f(x) = 5x+6 .

(a) The degree of f(x) , being equal to the highest exponent of x, is 1.

(b) The x-intercept is where y= f(x) = 0. In this case, 5x+6 = 0 means x = -6/5 which is the x-intercept.

(c) The y-intercept is where x = 0. In this case, the y-intercept is given by y = f(x) = 5*0+6 or, y = 6. Thus the y- intercept is 6.

For the given polynomial function (A) the degree of the polynomial, all x-intercepts, and the y-intercept. f(x) = 5x + 5 The degree of the polynomial is Type a
