Solution

radius = 2.4

angle = 9 degrees

area of sector of circle is given by the formula

A = n / 2pi * pi r^2

where n is the angle and r is the radius

9 degrees = 9* pi/180 = 0.15708 radians

A = ( 0.15708 / 2pi )* pi * 2.4^2

A = .4522
