Name and describe the six main types of lymphatic cells, discuss their contribution to immunity ( 250 words)
Solution
Lymph is the extarvassation or Diapedisised (Filtrate from Blood vessels to inter tissue space) material and it contain all types of white blood cells and excecute immunity to the Body
It contain several types of Cells:
Those are
B-Cells: B-Cells originate and developed in Bone marro and involved in Humoral mediated immunity. Some B-Cells also act as Antigen presenting cells
T-Cells: T-cells originates in Bone marrow and developed in Thymus and involved in Cell mediated and Humoral mediated immunity
Macrophages: These are tissue specific monocytes and principal Antigen presenting cells. They engulf the antigen and process it and finally submit to MHC molecules. These MHC molecules present the antigen fragments on the surface of Macrophages. Then they are recognised by T-helper cells and finally excecute cell mediated or Humoral medited immunity for elimination of Antigen
Dendritic Cells: These are a type of Antigen presenting cells and originated from both Lymphoid and Myloid lineage and play important role in Cell mediated and Humoral mediated immunity
Neutrophills: They are multilobed nuclei containing cells and they first recognises the pathogen entry in to the host. After recognition, they convay the information to Macrophages
Basophills: They contain Basic nature granules and later on converted in to mast cellls. In association with IgE antibody, these cells involved in Hypersensitivity type I reactions and causes allergy
Eiosinophylls:They are also called Acidophylls due to the presence of Acidophilic granules in its cytoplasm and they protects from Helmenths infection.
