Solution

There are basically 20 amino acid each coded by stretch of DNA codon . Codon consists of triplet . DNA is made up of four nucleotide adenine , thymine, guanine and cytosine.

This means that there are 64 unique codon that can be made with these four bases.

If codon were only two bases then combination would have been less than 16 . For instance to get 64 unique sequence using 2 base per codon system there would be need of 8 nucleotide
