Since we are comparing the age of males and their puulse rate, the objective of the research is to determine if there is a relationship between the pulse rate and the age of the person and how does the pulse rate change with the age. How would it impact the health of the individual in general.
b)
The overall data set has 40 distinct observations of males aged between 15 to 75 years and their pulse rates are measured. The standard pulse rate in the humans is 72, but we see a huge variation in the values ranging from 56 to 90

To check the presece of outliers, multiple statistical techniques can be used.
I am using Iglewicz and Hoaglin method.
Compute modified z- score = 0.6745 ( x - median) / (Median absolute deviation)
Median absolute deviation = median ( | Yi -Ymed | )
From calculations:
No Z-score value is above 3.5. Hence there are no outliers in the data.
Note: WE got Median Absolute devioation as 6, which is nothing but the median of the 2nd column.
