The patient is confused to place and time and has a right hip fracture that will be repaired tomorrow. The patient has an intravenous infusion of normal saline infusing at 100mL per hour, and is NPO after midnight. The patient’s vital signs are stable. RN will plan for patient with hip fracture following things
1. Patient should made aware of right posture to get relieve from pain
2. Patient should be given painkillers if he complains of pain on advice of doctor
3. He should be made aware of surgery verbally
4. After operation patients should be taught to walk and to do related exercise.
5. Physiotherapy tips should be given to pateint after surgery
6. Patient and their relatives should be made aware of surgery and related detail about it.
