c3c2c39 I know that the answer is c 3 but I need to see the

c^3+c^2+c=39

I know that the answer is c = 3, but I need to see the algebraic steps.... thanks

Solution

Given c3+c2+c=39

c*(c2+c+1)=39

39 is the product of two numbers & it can be written in two ways only. They are 1*39=39 & 3*13=39

If we substitute c=1,  c*(c2+c+1)=1*(12+1+1)=1*(3)=3

If we substitute c=3,  c*(c2+c+1)=3*(32+3+1)=3*(9+3+1)=3*(13)=39.

Thus, c=3 satisfies the equation.

c^3+c^2+c=39 I know that the answer is c = 3, but I need to see the algebraic steps.... thanksSolutionGiven c3+c2+c=39 c*(c2+c+1)=39 39 is the product of two nu
