Solution

In glycolysis, fructose -6- phosphate is converted to Fructose 1,6- bis phosphate. Hete it involves an allosteric process.

1. The allosteric effector molecule in this process is ATP- high levels of ATP molecules allosterically bind with the enzyme in the other site than the catalytic site and reduces the affinity towards fructose- 6- phosphate. Citrate also enhances the ATP inhibition.

2. enzyme targeted is PFKor phosphofructokinase- The allosteric inhibition can be reversed by the effector molecules like AMP or ADP. Comparatively number of ATP molecules are highest , ADP Molecules are higher than AMP. This AMP molecules act as the positive allosteric controller.

2. Effect of this is that lactic acid will not be produced in a high amount and acidosis will be controlled.
