From the diagram, we can see that 4 ohm & j6 ohm resistance are in series and 2ohm & j2 ohm are in series and they are in parallel, and outside 2 ohm resistance is in parallel

hence Z inside the loop= (4 + j6) *(2 + j2) /(6 + j8) = (-4 + j20) / (6 + j8)
