A few years ago, at an athletic event, I was sitting on a concrete bleacher. From where I was sitting, the bleacher was solid for about 15 ft straight down to the ground. This bleacher was much less comfortable than the standard aluminum stadium bleacher that is typically a quarter inch thick. Based on what you know about deflection, explain why this is true. (Hint: what properties of the bleacher affect deflection?)
Solution
See aluminium has a some ductle in nature therefore it has energy will be absorbed..concrete has no energy absorption. Hence it is true
