Solve the multipleangle equation Enter your answers as a com

Solve the multiple-angle equation. (Enter your answers as a comma-separated list. Use n as an integer constant. Enter your response in radians.)

tan 3x 1 = 0

Solution

tan 3x 1 = 0
adding 1 both sides
tan 3x 1 + 1= 0+1
so, tan3x=1
Since tangent of 45 degrees or pi/4 radians = 1
one of the answers would be 3*x = 45 degrees or pi/4 radians.
Therefore x = 15 degrees or pi/12 radians.
There are other answers by adding multiples of 180 degrees or pi radians to the value of 3*x.
Tangent of 3*x is positive only in the 1st and 3rd quadrants
so, our general solution is npi+pi/12
