A full backup is a kind of backup which backsup the whole data. This is the most reliable one, where as this is so time taking. To get over this drawback, instead of doing full back up, everytime, an incremental backup will be performed almost daily which will backup only the data that has been changed since the previous incremental backup.

And once you follow this incremental backup, at regular intervals we need to perform the differential backups. This is pretty similar to incremental backup, but the backup will backup only the differences from the last full backup. This will save so much of time.
