Nakita plans to buy tickets for her family to attend the annual dance recital. If she needs to purchase (x + 5) tickets which cost (5x - 3) dollars each, what is the total cost of the tickets in terms of x?

Solution

she needs to purchase (x + 5) tickets

Cost of each ticket (5x - 3) dollars

So Total cost = no of tickets to be purchased x cost of each ticket

= (x +5)( 5x -3)

= 5x^2 -3x +25x -15

= 5x^2 +22x -15
