Why is there no intercoolers in a rankine cycle?

Solution

Intercoolers are not required in Rankine Cycle because of following reasons:

1) As there is no compression process involved in rankine cycle to increase pressure

2) Working substance is completely rejectes heat (cooled) during condensation so ther is no need for again cooling

3) Sometimes even feed water heater is present which would transfer some heat(cooling) to regenerate the steam, so no need of again cooling through inter cooler
