Do you think large institutions, like churches, should support science no matter where it leads, or should they direct efforts to questions that support their values? Does this apply equally to governments?

Solution

All large institutions such as churches , temples, mosques or even NGOs should support science, logics and facts.

People should not preach their religious values over scientific facts because after all we are living in the 21st century and students should know to differentiate between right and wrong.

I do not disagreeon the fact that even values play a very important role in ours lives so they cannot be overlooked but if scientific study is left behind and ignored because of values, then it should be condemned.

This equally applies to governments too. We should strive to make this world a better place to live for all of us. And hence a correct balance between science and values is required.
