The medical emergency locket is based on some electronics having an operational amplifier, connected with the help of conducting wires. There is some mechanism present which, when the circuit is complete has provision od sending some signal or ringing so as to give an alert. To run this setup we need to supply some external battery also as we are not connecting it with the direct source of power.
The malfunctioning of the device may be due to many reasons such as the weak battery. So first of all, before touching any circuitry we must replace the battery and recheck. If the problem persists, we may have to open up the device and check for any loose wires or if some component of the device has malfunctioned. We can check this witht the help of the multimeter. And after identifying the problem we can simply change the malfunctioning component and hence correct the problem.
