Question 3 We have 5 containers which are 20feet long and 10

Question 3: We have 5 containers which are 20-feet long, and 10 containers which are 40-feet long. How many TEUs do all of these containers together equal to?

Solution

First of all let’s understand basic about TEUs.

TEU is also know as twenty foot equivalent units. So it is clear that 1 TEU means one 20 feet long container.

Now come to question;

As per information of the question, it is given that 5 containers are 20-feet long, that means these 5 containers are equal to 5 TEUs.

It is also given that 10 containers are 40-feet long. And we know that one 40 feet container is equal to 2 TEUs.

So total TEUs of all 40-feet long containers will be (10 * 2 TEUs) = 20 TEUs

Thus total TEUs of all these containers;

5 containers 20-feet long each = 5 TEUs

10 containers 40-feet long each = 20 TEUs

So total TEUs (5 + 20) = 25 TEUs

 Question 3: We have 5 containers which are 20-feet long, and 10 containers which are 40-feet long. How many TEUs do all of these containers together equal to?
