A depolarizing effect would bring a neuron from 70 mV to 75

A depolarizing effect would bring a neuron from -70 mV to -75 mV. true false

Solution

It is false.

Neurons exhange the soidum ions from inside to outside. Usually more sodium ions are present outside , which are positively charged and inside of neurons are negetive because of lack of sodium ions. So from resting phase the neurons accept the sodium ions and becomes positively charged and the neuron reaches 0 mv to higher which is called the action potential. So in depolarization effect the neuron will never become more negetive.
