A=A0(1+r)t

A0 is the population in 2009 which is 100

120=100 (1+r)

1.2-1=r

Therefore rate of growth is 20%=.2

So the population after 5 years will be

A= 100(1+.2)5= 100 *1.25=248.8

Where A0 is the initial amount which is 100
