Synch Failure = Probability that FF1 is still in a metastable state when FF2 is clocked

PF = PE * PS

ta = aperture time

t r = regeneration time

tcy = cycle time

PE = ta *  fcy = 120 * 10-12 * 300 * 106 = 36 * 10-3

Ps = exp (-tcy/ tr) = exp(-1/300*106 *150 * 10-12) = 2.23 * 10-10

PF = PE * PS = 8.0 * 10-12
