Solution

If the Kinetochore Microtubulkes failed to function in anaphase ,the chromatid would not be separated and does not move towards the spindle.poles.

(During 1st stage of anaphase the kinetochore retract pulling the two sister chromatid apart towards the poles.During the seconbd stage the mitotic poles that is mared by the chromosome themselves separate by the elongation of specific type of non-kinetochore microtubules called polar -microtubules)
