A standard deck of cards has 52 cards, 26 of which are red and 26 of which are black. What is the probability that a red card will be drawn from the deck three consecutive times, replacing the card in the deck after each time a card is drawn? 1/78 1/8 1/6 1/3

Solution

Probabilty of a red card in first draw is:26/52=1/2

Card is replaced each time so probabilyt of drawing red card is 1/2 is each case

So probabilyt of three consecutive red cards is:(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)=1/8

A standard deck of cards has 52 cards, 26 of which are red and 26 of which are black. What is the probability that a red card will be drawn from the deck three
