Prove: there is a natural number that is greater than 3 and less than 9. (Natural numbers is a positive integer) Please use direct proof :)

Solution

Let two numbers be x and y

IF x and y are two natural numbers such that (x - y) > 1, then we can state that
there exists a natural number between y and x

Here our numbers are 3 and 9

9 - 3 = 6

And we know 6 > 1

Hence proved that there is a natural number between 3 and 9
