Anatomic Barriers: These defense mechanisms block the entry of the pathogens into the body. Skin and mucous membrane are mechanical barriers. They provide an effective barrier to the entry of most organisms.

Physiological Barriers. These include body temperature; pH and other body secretions that prevent growth of any microorganisms entering into the body.

These are part of inate immunity which is also known as non specifc immunity- common for all pathoges

There is another kind of immunity which is known as adaptive immunity which is  is specialized immunity for particular pathogens. Helper T-cells, cytotoxic T-cells, and B-cells are involved in specific immunity
