What is the advantage of using Absolute temperature K over C
What is the advantage of using Absolute temperature (K) over C and F in space weather and in almost all branches of physics?
Solution
Reason 1: Kelvin scale has no negative value.
Reason 2 : Fahrenheit and Celsius scales are graduations of temperature between two random points, but the kelvin scale is an absolute scale because in kelvin zero is absolute zero and the other point is random.
Means Halving or doubling temperature on the kelvin scale makes sense.
In kelvin scale if we increase temperature by 10 K to 20 K means there is actually 100 % increase in temperature, but in case of celsius if we increasetemperature by 10 C to 20 C means there may not be 100 % increase in temperature, because at 0 C an object can have some heat but 0 K means absolute zero heat.
