and from the above circuit we know that

   Vx=8I---------(eq.2)

so from the above put the value of Vx in eq.1

then the eq.1 becomes

15-3I-2I-2(8I)-8I=0

15=29I

so, I=(15/29)

=0.517A

Vx=8I

=8(0.517)
