Background:

I will contribute to the diversity of our program and the profession, including the learning and broadening of perspectives for your classmates and colleagues when practicing my leadring environment in medical school. As a child, I became enamored with medicine when in my 8th grade biology class we learned how through research, doctors discovered the source of, and subsequently the cure, for smallpox (a kind of microbial disease). The kind of work, which I am meticulously interested, is “excelling as a good medical practitioner in medicine using my adequate utility and leadership & professional competency skills”. In order to achieve these competency skills, I would like to gain these skills by studying various medical aspects and physiological aspects of different patients across the Nigeria and United nations. On the other hand, I would like to choose a major under the designation of pre-med when I began college in graduating medical sciences so that the relevant coursework involving all clinical aspects and non-clinical aspects can be practiced via both laboratory and clinical experiences. My professional & academic competencies of biology and medicine practices, that I am going to gain in my “pre-med & medicines” via “course work” are going to provide a key prerequisite knowledge to enter into research aspects. The kind of research, I am meticulously interested & passionate is to unraveling the key underlying molecular mechanisms of microbial induced pathological changes during smallpox in Nigeria and United Nations. On the other hand, I will like to concentrate in unraveling the molecular mechanisms associated with “various neurodegenerative diseases” such as dementia, Alzheimer’s diseases in the populations of various Nigerian communities & United Nations

Goals

The competency skills, which I am going to achieve in the coursework of pre-med and medical studies after clearing MCAT, are going to choose specific clinical and non-clinical studies in medical field to attend “a clinical project –based internship”. This internship is going to help me to gain keen insights of leadership and professional practices as well as other laboratory collaborations to achieve a specific research question regarding communicable disease and neurodegenerative diseases.

This internship is going to benefit to gain knowledge of utility competencies and managing clinical projects by giving treatment to particular patients in Nigeria and United States suffering various communicable disease and neurological diseases finally implementing these competency skills in attaining crucial aspects of neurological and microbial research

The main goal which I would like to achieve to develop therapeutic strategies to patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases (by focusing on potentially gynecology, internal medicine as a surgeon) by conducting epidemiological research and clinical research after my academic pre-med and medicine studies. So that, this internship is going to enable to learn and practice the aspects of future clinical career to establish a clinic in both Nigeria and United States to serve patients

Motivations

Majority of senior citizens have been ending their lives due to neurological diseases for which there are “no potential complete cure” and some of them are getting microbial and communicable infections in both Nigeria and United States. These aspects have motivated me to go for this “internship” and medical profession Therefore; it is my intension to gain efficient knowledge and competencies from this internship to develop variable therapeutic aspects by carrying out clinical and epidemiological research.

I would like to implement my knowledge from gaining this internship to “practice clinical aspects by implementing ethical-based decision” by respecting patient autonomy & patient privacy with efficient profession code of conduct

Career aspirations:

I am meticulously interested in specializing in gynecology, internal medicine, specifically as a surgeon, perhaps optometry & this internship will provide me professional focus to a smaller range of medical specializations initially.

The discovery and identification of critical molecules responsible for neurological and neurodegenerative diseases progression leads to development of ‘specific target- directed therapies’, and molecular medicine. For the last 15 years the advent of ‘target- specific therapies’ has extremely enhanced the clinical outcomes of certain patients followed by the understanding of therapeutic efficacy and mechanism of neuroregenerative therapies. Hence, I am obviously interested in reviewing of the progress in developing new molecular-targeted drugs for neurological and neurodegenerative diseases such as bipolar depression, Schizophrenia, mental disorders, Autism, cerebral ischaemia, stroke, Periventricular Leukomalacia, multiple sclerosis, memory degeneration (Alzheimer’s disease), Parkinson’s disease, age-related macular disorder and ocular retinopathies.

I will like to gain efficient competency skills from this internship & pre-med and medicine. So that it is easier for me to develop the new molecular therapies that should be more effective and have less – severe side effects than cytotoxic agents. Hence, it is essential to harness the diversity of our program and the profession, including the learning and broadening of perspectives for your classmates and colleagues so that it is easier through medical practice for the power of a range of new technologies, which includes novel methodologies, with new structural biology methods for rational drug design for the suffering human kind.   I could improve the lives of the older people and newborn infants who are suffering from these neurodegenerative diseases by investigating a new range of therapeutic possibilities for the modulation of CNS plasticity and functional recovery after CNS damage, Parkinson’s disease and memory loss during Alzheimer\'s disease.
