In the figure, R = 10 Ohm. What is the equivalent resistance between points A and B?

Solution

Idea of the question is

6R and 3R are in parallel , 2R and 4R are in series and Req of 6R and 3R is in series with R

Req = R1*R2/R1+R2 = in parallel

Req = R1 + R2 ( in series )

=> Req = 6*3/(6+3) = 2R of two

now Req b/w A and B = (2R+R)*(4R+2R)/(9R) = 2R

=> Req = 2*10 = 20 ohm
