f(x) = x+4

g(x) = 3x+12

h(x) = x^2 + 8x + 16

a) (fg)(0) = f(x) * g(x)

= (x+4)(3x+12)

now (fg)(0) = plug x = 0

= (0+4)(0+12) = 48

b) (f/g)(-3)

first find (f/g)(x) = f(x) / g(x) = (x+4) / 3x+12 = x+4 / 3(x+4) = 1/3

(f/g)(-3) = 1/3

c) (h/g)(1)

first find (h/g)(x) = x^2 + 8x + 16 / (3x+12)

now plug x = 1

(h/g)(1) = 1 + 8 +16 / 3 + 12 = 25/15 = 5 / 3

d) (fh)(-4)

f(x) h(x) = (x+4 ) (x^2 + 8x + 16 )
