The lengths of the two sides of a triangle not necessarily a

The lengths of the two sides of a triangle (not necessarily a right triangle) are 1.00 meters and 2.05 meters. The sine of the angle opposite the side of length 1.00 meters is 0.136. What is the sine of the angle opposite the side of length 2.05 meters?

Solution

Let the sides be a and b.

a = 1 mt ; b = 2.05 mt

sinA = 0.136

Apply sine rule : a/sinA = b/sinB

sinB = b*sinA/a = 2.05*0.136/1 = 0.2788

sinB = 0.2788

The lengths of the two sides of a triangle (not necessarily a right triangle) are 1.00 meters and 2.05 meters. The sine of the angle opposite the side of length
