The schematic below represents a simplified intrusion alarm system that uses a replay to turn on an audible alarm (siren) and lights. The system operates from a 9V battery, so than even if power to the house is off, the audible alarm will still work. The magnetic detection switches are normally open magnetic switches that are parallel connected and located m the windows and doors. The relay used is a three-pole, double-throw device that operates with a coil voltage of 9V dc and draws approximately 50mA The relay contacts are not physically remote in relation to the coil as the schematic indicates.

Solution

1. RELAYS ARE THE PROTECTION DEVICES WHICH SENSES ABNORMAL CONDITION AND CLOSES ITS CONTACT WHEN THE NORMAL CONDITIONS ARE VIOLATED.

2.The number of poles that a relay has reflects the number of power input connections that it has.

3 The number of throws that a relay has reflects the number of ON or power output positions that it has.

4. A triple pole, single throw (TPST) relay has three power input connections and three power output connections and only sends power out when the relay coil is energized. Its contacts are referred to as Normally Open. A triple pole, single throw relay (contactor) might be used to energize or de-energize a three-phase 240 volt or 480 volt device by making or breaking all three Hot wires. This type of relay has 8 electrical connections: two for the relay coil plus three for the power input and three for the power output.

IN YOUR CIRCUIT THE RELAY WILL DETECT THE INTRUSION IF ANY ONE OF THE INPUT GETS CLOSE , TWOINPUT GETS CLOSE OR ALL INTRUSION OCCIRS MAXIMUM AT ALL THE THREE PLACES . THE RELAY COIL WILL ENERGIZE YOUR HOME SECURITY SYSTEM.

ANY ONE MAGNETIC DEVIATION SWITCH CAN ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM .

EACH OF THE THREE RELAY CONTACT IS TO TRIGGER THE RELAY COIL TO LIGHT UP THE SILEN AND ALARM SIMULTANEOUSLY.
