Genetics Question Thank you A superb pink and gold male Spar
Genetics Question. Thank you!
A superb pink and gold male, Sparkles, was purchased by a breeder. All the progeny generated by Sparkles were normal, pink and gold in appearance. However, when some of his puppies were mated, about 25% of Sparkle’s grandpuppies were white and silver. Sparkles was soon removed from the stud list of the puppy breeders. Explain, using symbols, how this could have happened. (As always, make sure you define your symbols at some point in your answer.)
Solution
These are the rsults due to ,Genetic variation which happens due to DNA mutation. In this 25%of Sparkles garndpuppies resultted in white and silver and this is due to gene flow (movement of genes from one population to another).
In this 25% population is reuslt of Dominance variance in genes, which is due to this.
