Solution
Answer 1 :- The last piece of electronics I purchased was a MacBook. I learnt about it through social media particularly Internet.
The factors which I weighed before purchasing it were, as follows :-
1. Need :- I first analysed that did I really need it?
2. Use :- After I realised that I need it, I tried to check with the purpose of it like what all can I do with it. I can surf Internet, save my important documents and other data, start taking a part time job and many such useful factors.
3. Features :- I could have bought some other laptop or PC too, but why I chose MacBook was because of its fantastic features, great look, fine look and feel while using it and also because it was the best in the marke and still is.
4. Price :- It was an issue since the cost of it is high compared to rest of the similar products in the market but the quality of the product was more important to me, so I chose quality over cost.
5. Ease of use :- I choose to buy MacBook because I could carry it anywhere and use it as per my ease. Also ecause its battery life is better than anyother similar product in the market.
The most influential factors were the need and the features. Yes, I am satisfied with my purchase until and unless something better comes in the market which can replace it.
Answer 2 :- Malcolm Gladwell said “poverty is not deprivation. It is isolation.” Often the smallest technological advances create the largest social impacts, take the Internet for example.
When your community is connected through technology, people hear each other and a culture of expectation regarding consistent communication builds. UW professor Kathy Gill said in a November 2009 lecture, “culture is the way we express ourselves as individuals.” Therefore it is plausible to believe that without technology, people in the developing world are unable to express themselves as well as those in the developed world.
