Solution

From the figure we can see that the perpendicular distance between the equal and opposite forces is

d = 150+200 = 350 mm

Magnitude of couple, M = 250 N-m

We know, M = F*d

      F = M/d = 250/(350*10^-3)   = 714.28 N
