Ans 1. About six billion population lives on earth. due to rise in population more and more land are consumed for performing numerous human activities and utilisation of natural resources. These human activities leads to pollution. Since the drawn of industrial revolution there has been a steep rise in the greenhouse effect. There has been uneven release of greenhouse gases into the system leading to imbalance in system. The most important greenhouse gases are methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. Emmission of these gases by humans lead to a point which is not sustainable. Carbon Dioxide concentrations have risen to more than 40 %. The key reasons being burning of fossil fuels for numerous reasons. Vegetation absorbs carbon dioxide for the process of photosynthesis, deforestation leads to elevated levels of carbon dioxide. The burning of fossil fuels also leads to the release of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide in the atmosphere leading to acid rain. The alteration of the environment and changing the biochemical cycles often leads to loss of biodiversity.
