CQI is continous quality improvement. This method focuses on the processes and not on the individuals. This philsophy states that there is scope of improvement for most of the things. This method or philosophy propogates the use of scientific methods for small but contionous changes.

TQM or total quality management aims at improving quality by ensuring conformance to internal requirements. Amongst the many ways that this can be accomplished are to: reduce the errors produced during the manufacturing or service process, increase customer satisfaction, streamline supply chain management, aim for modernization of equipment and ensure that workers and employees have the highest level of training possible.

Six Sigma, on the other hand, identifies and removes the causes of defects. It focuses on the use of statistical data. The emphasis is on process as well as people. This philosophy aims at improving the process and aims at creating a group of experts.
