Ports AO 0 and AO 1 are DAC outputs on the NI USB DAQ with a 0-5V output range. What is the maximum output current for these DACs according to the specifications (“specs”)? What is the output impedance of these DACs? Say one of the DACs is trying to supply 5Vto a device with a 200 input impedance. Would this be OK? Explain your answer.

Solution

The DAC Output, According to DAC IN USB 6008 Specification the maximum outptut current is 5mA.

The maximum output impdeance of DAC is 50 ohms.

It is OK for DAC supply 5v to a device witha input impedance 200ohms.

DAC is digital to analog converter is an electronic device , which an intergrated circuit it converts digital number and corresponding to analog voltage or current.

DAC simply digital to analogue converter , and it converts a digital signal fform a digital source like a computer ,mp3 player or CD player into an analogue.

Digital device with an analogue output like a cd player or an mp3 plaer will have DAC buil into it. Like DAC come in varying quality and external one might be a way to improve sound quality.

example like a computer or an ipod , where the inbuilt DAC is likely to quite inferior to good, purposely built external one.

And headphone amp also have DAC built into it, and your digital device directrly connect and take advantage of the better sound quality and also setup quite simple.
