(1)Impact of petroleum on environment is not good.Petroleum is a toxic material .
(2)When oil are burned ,usually the combustion is not complete. That in complete burned compound are created in addition to just water and corbon di oxide.
(3)People burn large amount of petroleum create large amount of CO2 gas that traps heat in the earth’s atmosphere.
(4)Oil spill release of a liquid petroleum hydrocarbon in to environment especially marine areas due to human activity and it is a pollution.
(5)Acid rain:- High temperatures created by combustion of petroleum cause nitrogen gas in the surrounding air to oxidize ,creating nitrous oxide.
(6) Volatile organic compound are gases emitted by various solids and liquids many of which have short and long term adverse effect on human health and environment.
(7) Crude oil shipments poses environmental and safety risks from accidents that may occur along pipelines, rail lines , waterways and at transshipment sites.
