The difference between an equation and an expression is an \"equation sign\".

Equation has two sides separated by an equal sign(=) right and left sides.

Where as an expression has no such sides,

Usually it\'s just a combination of terms.

Hence we can say that,an equation is expressions separated by equal sign.

Example: 2x+3=5 is an equation.

2x+3 is an expression.
