Can anyone solve this for me?

140=12.5(0.2^x-1)+20x

I got it down to

log(152.5-20x)-log(12.5)=xlog(0.2)

but I can\'t get it reduced any more from there and I don\'t even know if what I currently have is even correct.

Solution

problem; solve 140= 12.5(0.2X-1)+20X

we can solve this problem with out appling \' log\'

140=12.5x0.2X-12.5+20X

140+12.5=2.5X+20X

152.5=22.5X

X=152.5/22.5

X=6.77 approx.
