A company recently downsized its number of employees by 35%. If there are still 78 employees, how many employees were there prior to the layoffs?

  Solution
so the company downsized the employees to 35%
that means out 100 employees only 35 are still in the company
so now given now we have 78 employees in the company
so the number employess before = 78 x 100 / 35
= 222.857 ~= 223
that means there are 223 employees were there in the comapny before downsizing
