1. Scenario: John is a new, full-time technician. You assigned John to take a new PC downstairs to be deployed in the main distribution facility. In carrying the PC, he cradled it in front of his chest with both hands and could not look over the top of it completely. As he entered the stairwell, he did not see the sign on the floor indicating a wet floor. He tripped on the sign and promptly fell halfway down the stairs before catching himself. The PC was destroyed and John suffered a broken elbow, costing him 2 months of work plus medical expenses. John is suing for lost wages and hospital bills because of the accident.

Even if he receives compensation for every possible loss, in what way did he lose?

Solution

In this scenario no one could be blaim completely, in my understanding i would call it misfortune and nothing else. And in such scenario John should receive compenstion as he didn\'t do it deliberately and moreover he broke his elbow which is costing him not only hospital bills but also work as due to injury he cannot afford to go to office and work and hence loss of salary.

Here even after he gets all the compensation for whatever he is claiming , he broke his elbow and he won\'t be able to perform with broken elbow the way he used to do and this loss cann\'t be compensated.
