What are some pros/cons for using medical terminology in the healthcare system?

Medical terminology acts as common language for everyone involved in medical field. It helps to specify each and every occurence with the patient. For example commoners say fever but actually it is very vague term as it can not specify the hot temperature or sore throat or body ache. But Doctors have separate terms for each and every thing. Thus it helps in specifying and removes any kind of confusion. Doctors communicate with each other in this language only. Since languages changes from place to place, hence it also removes the confusion that may arise due to language barrier.

The only con whic I understand, due to medical terminology use is, that the patients do not understand such communications which is not good for them.
