How is this system work? What is the resistor is doing?

Answer: Pump bulb will create vaccum by which pump inflow check valve will get open and fluid enters the fluid chamber through cuff line by which pressure will increse in the chamber and pump outflow check valve will gets open and the entering fluid will apply pressure on deactivation valve and resistor by which resistor will slide towards cuff line and will reach the mid position, hece both lines will gets open.when the presure will be equal in both line then deactivation valve poppet will open and fluid enters in ballon and when pressure will increase in ballon comapre to cuff line, cuff line will gets closed by resistor and flow will stop.

Resistor is a sliding part which work on relative pressure of both lines and will open cuff line when pressure is decresed in outflow line and will close when pressure is high compared to cuff line.
