If you were posed with the following, \"Are there a greater proportion of blue M&Ms in a milk chocolate bag than in a peanut bag?\" of M&M\'s and \" Are the colors evenly distributed in either bag? \" Which of the following methods would be appropriate to use to answer questions above? and why? How would I test for normality?
Solution
Sol)
Claim: Are there a greater proportion of blue M&Ms in a milk chocolate bag than in a peanut bag
For this we use test for differences of two proportions(Either Z or t). The test is depends on sample size. If sample size < 30 we use t test. if sample size > 30 we use Z test.
Claim: Are the colors evenly distributed in either bag
For this we use Chisquare goodness of fit. Here we used observed frequncies of each color in bag and compared them with expected frequencies of the colors.
