Hence, density of oil

rho = sg X density of water

= 0.95 X 1000 = 950 kg/m3

Since the oil is at rest, and the top of the tank is vented to the atmosphere,

Hence from hydrostatic law, bottom gauge pressure reading

Pg = rho X g X h

where g is the gravitational acceleration

Pg = 950 X 9.81h

Pg = 9319.5h Pa

= 9319.5h / 1000
