How many ionizable groups are there What would be the overal
How many ionizable groups are there? What would be the overall (net) charge on this peptide at pH 7? At pH 2? At pH 11?
Solution
1.There are four ionisable group two eachof NH3 + and COO - group.
2.AT ph 7 they will be in zwitter ion form. Where it would be having both the charges positive and negtive charges which is termed as neutral state
3. At ph 2 they will be in acidic form because of COO - group
4, At ph 11 they will be in basic form because of NH3 + group
